Year 5 Einstein – Moving Toys

This term,  we have looked at the mechanisms of a moving toy. We learnt about different types of cams, discussed and prioritised important design criteria and selected appropriate resources, which included recycling.

We had to attach the cam securely to ensure an accurate movement; this was the trickiest part and some of us had to adjust it several times. Everyone had a good growth mindset and continually evaluated and adjusted until a moving toy was eventually achieved. Well done everyone!
