Reception Forest School – Fairies

To link in with our new topic ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, our theme at Forest School over the past couple of weeks in Reception has been fairies.

Our first challenge when arriving at Forest School was to search around the woods to find the hidden fairies and fairy doors. We quickly found that there were not many doors, but lots of hidden fairies who needed a home. We then had a go at making our own fairy doors using lollipop sticks, and collected natural materials from around the woods to make fairy homes and gardens. The children created some beautiful fairy doors, and wonderful gardens and homes. Very imaginative. They also really enjoyed playing with the small fairies around the woods and using them to tell stories.

We cant wait to see what magical things happen on our next visit to Forest School. 🙂
