Learning about China

In our topic work we have been learning about China so this afternoon we indulged in a Chinese feast. We had noodles, sweet and sour, prawn crackers, stir fried aubergine, rice and beansprouts. Some of the children said that they had not tasted Chinese food before but if the empty bowls are anything to go by, they will be having it again!

Their determination to try and use chopsticks was something we all felt proud of.

It would be great if mums and dads could ask the children to tell them something they have learned about in our topic – perhaps what the capital city is, what they do at new year or which is a lucky colour or number in China.
