Matilda computing lessons

Computing

We began our computing sessions by going on a bug hunt around the school grounds. We kept a tally to show how many different types of bugs we could find. Back in class, we read interesting facts about bugs. This was all in readiness for our presentations that we were tasked with making.

Mrs Chamberlain showed us how to create a PowerPoint, to add text, change the font, sizing, backgrounds and how to insert images. We also learnt the importance of being safe on the internet.

Working with a partner, the children have then worked so hard to create their own PowerPoints all about their chosen bugs. See below for their work!

Well done Matilda class!

Hello year 1, I am really impressed with your presenting skills. Looks like you had fun finding bugs and then creating PowerPoint slides to present your findings. Maybe you could use PowerPoint, at home, to present some of your key skills work in the future. 👍😊
