Year 4 Lennon McCartney – English work

This week in English, we have been working on generating ideas for our own defeat the monster stories. We explored the poem Tyger, Tyger by William Blake and then wrote our own class poem about a new monster, the dragon. Here is our amazing poem – there were so many brilliant ideas shared! After this, we then had a go at writing our own poem about either the dragon or another creature.
Later in the week, we then started to generate some ideas for alternative settings, monsters, cunning plans and rewards. Again, the imaginative and creative ideas were brilliant! We are ready and raring to go with planning and writing our own stories next week.
