Fractions of quantities!

This week, we have been exploring how to find fractions of amounts and testing the rule: divide by the denominator and multiply by the numerator. Using a variety of resources including money, liquid, shape and straws, we investigated how to share different quantities into quarters and used this information to find three quarters too. By the end of the lesson, we were all able to find different fractions of a range of quantities using resources, bar models and our numbers facts to help us.
