Robinson Class

Good evening, we have had a great final week of learning before the Christmas holidays in Robinson class.

In English, Robinson class have finished learning to write a lost and found story. The final stories were fantastic and I was so proud of the hard work and effort the children put into the stories to make them descriptive and interesting. Can you tell a grown up the main character and precious lost item?

In Maths, the children have been learning a variety of methods to support their subtraction. We have been using concrete resources and began to use jotting and drawings to support our work. On Fridays, the children have been learning about 3d shapes. We have learnt that 3d shapes are solid not flat. We built the 3d shapes using sweets and cocktail stick and counted the vertices and edges. Can you find any 3d shapes in your home?

In forest school we have been using natural resources to create art work. The children have used sticks to paint, leaves to create images and made wonderful Christmas decorations.

The children have worked very hard on their calendars and Christmas cards. I hope you enjoy them.

Today we did the Christmas raffle. The children were very excited and we had two very proud winners Natasha and Grace.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and I wish you a happy new year.
