Paddington Class Tempest Showcase and Forest School

What a great day we have had! This morning we were excited to show our final pieces to the rest of the school.  On our tour of the school we were impressed with the work children have produced in other classes and were very proud, and amazed at the messages others had left us  about our work.  The children in Paddington worked really hard on the writing and sketching skills, their framed pieces look outstanding, the children are quite rightly very proud and will be able to take their work home later in the term.  Here are some photos of our displays in the classroom:

This afternoon we went to Forest School where our main activity was painting trees in the winter, but we had no paint or paintbrushes with us… we used mud, twigs and leaves.  The children mixed mud and water in a paint pallet and carefully created pictures including a frame around the edge like we have been practicing in our art lessons.

The children also enjoyed making water tracks with drain pipes, making mud pies and soups as well as balancing on logs and tyres.  We were joined by a big pigeon and a beautiful robin who sang around us for most of the session too.  We talked about the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch, maybe you could take part this weekend.  There is more information here: Get ready for Big Garden Birdwatch 2022 | The RSPB

Have a great weekend!
