Year 4 – Exciting delivery!

Today, we had an exciting letter delivered to us along with a golden box filled with lots of clues. The letter was from the King of Poland asking for our help to come up with a cunning plan to defeat a terrible monster causing chaos in the town. Inside the box was a map of Poland, a cow’s skin, a King’s crown and a jar full of hot herbs and spices! We discussed how we might use the items to create a cunning plan to defeat this monster.

Later, we found out that these were clues for our new model text – The Cobbler of Krakow – where a humble cobbler uses herbs and spices to trick a dragon and defeat it! We are very excited to develop our writing skills for our own defeating the monster stories over the next few weeks.
