Welcome Back Einstein Class

We hope you all had a fun and restful half term.

We were raring to go yesterday and in the afternoon we were busy looking at irreversible changes. We carried out some experiments in Science to explore what happens when combining different reactants and investigated the products that were produced as a result.

We combined white vinegar and milk to produce a type of plastic called Casein, we burned candles to see the effect of combustion, we mixed bicarbonate of soda with vinegar to produce carbon dioxide which blew up our balloons and we set off rockets by combining vitamin C tablets and water which also produced a gas resulting in the small canister flying up in the air like a rocket – can you spot it flying in our pictures?
