Matilda Class- Science

Yesterday afternoon, Matilda class had a wonderful afternoon learning about two new properties: waterproof and absorbent.

Working in groups, the children were provided with several different materials to test to check if they were waterproof or absorbent. After this, we went outside and tested a few objects together. We checked to see if wellies, a blanket, an umbrella and a mat were waterproof or absorbent. The children were very brave as they didn’t know whether they were likely to get wet or not. A really fun afternoon of learning Matilda class. Well done 🙂
