Forest School in Reception
This afternoon Simba Class spent a glorious afternoon in Forest School, and we could not have asked for a more lovely day!
This week, the children focused on observational drawing. They chose their own cardboard template, which had a shape cut out of the centre. They then used this to explore to Forest School, looking through the shape inside. The children shared what they could see, ranging from pots and pans in the mud kitchen to slugs on the leaves! They then sat down in the sunshine to draw what they could see through their shape.
The children continued to explore the environment, and particularly enjoyed working in the water tray and experimenting with water flow in groups.
Another delightful afternoon in Forest School, well done Reception!
