Awesome authors and magnificent mathematicians in Reception!

Lately we have discovered that there are some awesome authors in Reception. Our writing table is permanently busy with budding writers!

Our writers are working hard to remember many of our ‘Writer’s Toolkit’ – finger spaces, capital letters, full stops, snuggling letters together, sounding words out using phonic sounds, tricky words and then reading it back to make sure it makes sense.

We also have magnificent mathematicians.  We have been problem solving this week, exploring evens and odds. We have discovered… that two odds make an even, two evens make an even and an odd and even makes an odd.
