Exploring Africa

Is Africa a country? Mandela Class learnt the difference between a country and a continent today, exploring the variety of time zones which spread across the continent of Africa and how they are calculated against GMT. We used atlases and maps to explore the countries in Africa and identified the different time zones which each country fell into. Following this, we completed a research project on one African country (which we selected), using atlases and the internet to research a range of information such as: the capital, the leader, the language and bordering countries.
