Rainforest Roadshow in Year 4!
What an absolutely fantastic day we have had in Year 4! We spent all morning learning about the animals in the rainforest and listening to some extremely fascinating stories about Dave’s experiences with different tribes while living there. The children were extremely excited to watch him shoot a dart through a blow pipe (and somehow manage to hit the bullseye every time!), as well as hold some live animals themselves! They had the opportunity to hold a tarantula and a millipede, and we were so proud to see so many children being so brave and giving it a go!
During the afternoon, we sketched some amazing artefacts taken straight from the rainforest, and also made tribal necklaces and had tribal designs painted on our arms or faces. These patterns all represented animals or tribes from the rainforest, and the children were able to ask lots of questions and hear lots more amazing stories!
As we took so many photos to remember these incredible experiences, we have created a Sway so that you can see what we have been up to. Please feel free to scroll through the Sway – we hope you enjoy!
