Matilda Class- Happy Christmas
Well here we are, at the end of our first full term together. In some ways it seems to have gone in the blink of an eye! But when I think when the children first came in, back in September, it seems like an age ago. Over the past 14 weeks I have been consistently blown away by the outstanding imagination, motivation, determination and kindness of all of the children. They have been a pleasure to teach and I greatly look forward to the new year and all the exciting things we will be getting up to!
In the recent weeks the children have not only been working on their usual topics but have had the excitement of the nativity performances, which I think we can all agree was wonderful, everyone put in 100%. We have also been creating a few other Christmasy crafts such as calendars, decorations and cards.
Yesterday the children did something a bit different. They used their DT skills to design and put together their own fruit salad. They looked very yummy and I was happy to see how sensibly and carefully the children cut their fruit using butter knifes. Needles to say, the sprinkles were an “essential” to all fruit salads.
I hope you all have a very happy and restful Christmas. I’ll see you all next term!
