Matilda- Coronation Celebrations

It has been a great end to the week in Matilda class. The children worked so hard to learn their song for the celebration and I’m sure that all those who saw it would agree, the performance was fantastic!

We braved the weather and managed to have our coronation picnic outside. We were watching the clouds ready to zoom back inside, just in case!

The children have started their art unit on shoes, creating sculptures of shoes to link into our history unit. We have only made a few yet but we are all very impressed with the outcomes.

In English we had another go at hot seating the main character to our story, The Curious Garden. The children prepared answers to questions and were interviewed whilst others helped out by being our camera crew for the interview.

For a shorter week it has definitely been a busy one! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
