Year 1: Forest School: Matilda

Matilda class braved the wet weather today and wrapped up in their waterproofs for a fantastic forest school session! The children played 1,2,3 where are you and then went on a colour hunt to find as many different colours in natural resources that they could! This was great fun and all of the children found red, yellow, orange, brown and green leaves. We discussed how the leaves were different and why the leaves have been changing.

The children had time to explore the forest and many children found lots of bugs and worms. Some of the children made forest school monsters out of salt dough and natural resources. The faces they made were excellent and it was a lot of fun to see their creations! Most of the children kept improving on their monsters as they found different things in the forest and all of the children used great teamwork skills to build the faces.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!
