Year 4 Lennon-McCartney – Science of Sound

Today we had our first Science lesson of our new unit all about Sound. We explored lots of different instruments and objects and worked out how to make a sound from them. We then discussed what makes something create a sound. Our final group experiment was to explore what happened when we put a tuning fork into water to see the vibrations. We then learnt how the vibrations travel from the sound source through the air and into our ears as sound waves.
