First Time at Forest School – Gruffalo Class

Today Gruffalo class came to Forest School for the first time. The children did very well getting all of their waterproofs and welly boots on independently. Once the children had learnt about their new boundaries and rules at Forest School, we had time to explore and play. We had a brilliant morning exploring the school woods, and were very happy to find lots of muddy puddles to jump in after all of the rain we have had over the past few days! The rain water which had collected in the woods also came in very handy for filling up the watering cans and playing with the water runs and guttering pipes. The children demonstrated excellent teamwork by taking it in turns to pour the water at the top of the pipes, and then collect it in buckets at the bottom. Well done Gruffalo class, a fantastic start to Forest School! Mrs Read 🙂
