Matilda Class

This week in our English lessons, we have been thinking about the setting of our story ‘The Gruffalo’. We spent time looking at lots of pictures of forests and identified the nouns in the picture. We then thought about adjectives we could use to describe the nouns.

Later in the week, we had a go at writing a class description of the forest setting making sure we used adjectives to describe. Then, the children had a go at writing their own. They were amazing!

Finally, in our maths lessons we started to think about time. Here are some of the children’s thoughts so far. We are going to add to this each week.

Nativity
All children were sent home with a slip explaining what their role is in the nativity and if a costume is required or already being provided by school. Some characters (narrators and angels) have also been sent home with some words to learn. Please could you practise these at home as much as possible. Many thanks.

Have a wonderful weekend!
