Year 5 – maths

This week in maths we have been exploring square numbers and cube numbers.

Square Numbers:

The product of a number multiplied by itself, e.g. 1, 4, 9, 16.
Cube Numbers:
A cube number is a number multiplied by itself 3 times.

We used practical equipment to explore how the numbers were made and why we use the notation for squared and cubed.
