Year 5 – Facts and Opinions

We have started a new topic in reading this week – facts and opinions. Part of our task today was to write an opinion about getting an increase in pocket money. Here are some of the children’s opinions on this topic:

I think there shouldn’t be increased pocket money because you and your family will have less money to pay bills or taxes.

I think paying their children double the pocket money is a bad idea for the economy. 

I think that children will get greedy and spending the money on rubbish. 

My opinion is that I would be thankful for my pocket money increased and I would think my parents are the best . 

My opinion is that it is good because I would have more money to spend on games. 

I think that increasing pocket money might be good because children can respect their money more and buy things by themselves .
