Churchill- A Great Start Back!

After a lovely Easter break, Churchill class have returned raring to go for the summer term.  We have started our Midsummer Night’s Dream topic in English and the children have immediately grasped the complex themes and the Shakespearean language.  In PE, we enjoyed being able to use the field and played rounders as a year group- hopefully there will be lots of good weather to enable plenty of summer sports and athletics to happen over the next two terms. We will also be tackling electricity in science and looking at the Benin civilization in history.

I have shared here three great examples of the NPAT reading challenge characters.  Well done Sam, Madison and Tate: your entries will go forward to the competition now.  Hopefully we will have some more to share next week.

As always, the adults in Year 6 have been incredibly impressed with the behaviour for learning shown this week.  What an enthusiastic, well-behaved, intelligent bunch you are!
