Year 4 Lennon-McCartney – Potion Making!

Today, we had a surprise delivery of a very important looking letter and a treasure box with items inside. The letter was from the King of Poland requesting our help to rid their country of a terrible beast! There were lots of items inside the box and a note in the letter to ensure we came up with a cunning plan to defeat the evil creature. We then came up with lots of predictions and suggestions for how we could trick the beast, resulting in creating a potion. We tried making our own class potion and were very excited to see the chemical reactions taking place! Each person then invented their own potion – imagining we had unlimited resources – and explained how it would defeat the beast. We had a lot of fun designing and experimenting with ideas and can’t wait to find out more tomorrow!
