Year 4 Mozart – Generating Ideas

This week in English, we have continued to develop our understanding of defeat the monster stories, using our model text ‘The Cobbler of Krakow’ to help us. We have constructed an opening and endings toolkit by identifying the writerly tools that we can use to write an effective opening and ending to a story. We had great fun writing a poem of our own about a monster, inspired by William Blake’s poem ‘The Tyger’, using a range of writerly tools such as similes and personification.

Today, we have been generating ideas for writing our own defeat the monster tale next week. Everyone was so enthusiastic and shared some wonderful ideas. Have a look at just some of the ideas generated below!

Have a great weekend everyone!
