Welcome back Mandela Class!

Welcome back and welcome to Year 6 Mandela Class!

What a fantastic week we have had so far, I am so impressed with how motivated and enthusiastic you have started the year and I cannot wait to crack on.   We are already immersed in our Harry Potter themed persuasive writing unit, our alternative fairy tales for reading and the World War Two history unit.  We really enjoyed finding out all about William Harvey and his discoveries about the heart in science and we still have art to come!

Also impressive is the summer key skills where students were asked to research and present information about the leader our class is named after:  Nelson Mandela.  You can see some of the work here and much more is displayed in the Year 6 corridor for other children to enjoy.

I am so excited for the year we have ahead.
