Robinson

Good morning,

Robinson class have had a great week of learning. Here are some of our highlights.

On Thursday, we went to the school library. For some of the children in our class this was their first time. The children loved being surrounded by books of all different genres and topics. It was wonderful to see the children, not only enjoying reading, but looking for books they know their friends might like and recommending those books to each other. When we left, the children all asked if we could go again. We will be visiting the library once a week to promote a love of reading and the children will begin to take a book home for them to share with their family.

In forest school, the children continued to learn about the seasons. Linking to our overall topic, Ourselves, the children created nature portraits and their names in sticks. They had to think carefully about the sizes of the sticks and how malleable they were.

Well done Robinson class, have a lovely weekend.
