Year 5 – A great second week of term

Well done to all of the children in Year 5 who have continued to impress us this week with their enthusiasm and determination. We have been putting up displays of some of their summer key skills which I’m sure you will agree are fantastic pieces of work – well done everyone. The children have continued this week in maths with comparing the value of numbers with up to seven digits and in English, we have been learning how to create complex sentences. Ask your child if they can tell you what a complex sentence is or if they can name some subordinating conjunctions! In reading we are continuing to look at character in The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo and today we did some Art, looking at drawing with one-point perspective. We look forward to continuing on the learning journey next week! Have a great weekend everyone.
