Amazing artwork!

Good afternoon everyone!

The children produced some fantastic work in art today! We were learning about the importance of viewpoints and discussed all the different ways in which we could draw a flower. Looking at some roses, some of the children said they thought the focus should be from the side, but the majority thought that the focus should be on the top – so that was what we drew this lesson. The children worked really hard to produce some intricate sketches of their flower’s petals, and they seemed to find it really relaxing after all of the running they did during their PE lesson. I’m looking forward to seeing what the children produce next week when we start using pastels!

On a side note, well done to the Red team today – both teams worked really hard, but you managed to win our class competition by just 4 points. Let’s see who wins tomorrow!
