We will remember them

Today, Simon de Senlis commemorated the sacrifices made in conflict with two assemblies written and produced by the Year 6 children.  Mandela and Churchill classes researched different aspects of Remembrance Day including the meaning of poppies and how different countries around the world mark the peace agreed at the end of World War I.  They used poetry, role play, diaries and reading to present the information to the rest of the school.  Each class then observed the two minute silence, along with millions of others across the country today, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
