Year 5 Einstein – Maths

After a focus on bar modelling in ‘Barvember’ the children are becoming more confident in using these to represent a maths problem and we have seen some great examples in our morning work.

This week in maths we have been exploring square numbers, we made arrays using counters and saw for ourselves what happens when we have a square number.

In Science on Monday, we used more maths to help us create scaled drawings of each of the planets, we drew the diameter of each planet and used a compass to create a circle around this.
