Drama – Year 5 Dyson

In Dyson class on Friday, we completed a drama activity in our English lesson. Our model text, Middle of Nowhere, is a suspense story so Mrs. Amos wanted us to experience the feeling of suspense. We were asked to close our eyes and try our best to keep silent – we really didn’t know what to expect! After some silence, we felt a breeze and heard strange noises such as scraping, tapping, footsteps, rustling and whispering. Eventually there was a loud crash and scream! Afterwards we discussed how we felt and how our bodies reacted to the suspense. We collated our ideas in our Magpie books for ideas to use in our future writing. All of us did so well in controlling our urge to peep and talk! Well done Dyson class!
