Paddington Class

We have had another brilliant week of learning, here are just some of my highlights!

In English we have learnt the text ‘The Curious Garden’, I am excited to see what changes we can make to the text to make our own stories next week.

In maths we have been practicing halving numbers and showing our knowledge of this in different ways using objects and drawings.

In Art the children have been investigating structures and loved making structures with cocktail sticks, marshmellows and jelly tots.

In RE we have been learning about the Jewish faith and made our own Torahs.  Last week we learnt about the Jewish Creation Story and drew cartoon strips to illustrate the story.

In Science we explored the school grounds identifying different plants.  We spotted daisies, cleavers (sticky weed) dandelions, rhubarb, cherry trees, ivy, clover and grass, what plants can you spot around you over the weekend?

In our Forest School session today we had lots of laughter putting ‘sticky weed’ on each other, building water runs and making fairy doors which we were inspired to make after a very talented parent painted one on a rock for us.

Have a great bank holiday weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
