Superb Setting Descriptions!

Since our return to school after half term, we have been working extremely hard on editing our written work to ensure that it is the best it can be. Working in partners, we have learnt how to peer review and provide feedback to each other. Identifying errors and discussing writing can be a tricky task but Mandela have approached this with maturity and focus.

Our new unit of work is based on The Island by Armin Greder. We began our unit by imagining what it would be like on an island: how it would sound, what we would see and what we would find. We used this information to produce fantastic setting descriptions which include senses, personification and a range of prepositions.

I have been so impressed with the fantastic approach all of Mandela have shown towards their writing following half-term, keep it up!
