Year 3 – Design and Technology Day on Thursday

On Thursday, all of the children will be taking part in an exciting DT day where they will be able to design, make and taste their own sandwiches! Our unit of work will focus on the importance of making healthy and balanced choices. The children will begin the morning by tasting a range of different breads before moving on to planning and making their own sandwich from a range of ingredients which will be provided in school. A parent mail has been sent out with further information, including information about the different ingredients we will use and a permission slip. The children will not be eating their sandwich until later in the afternoon, so please send children into school with their usual packed lunch or hot dinner.
