Phonics in Reception

We have had a great week learning new sounds in our Phonics lessons. We have been learning actions to go with the sounds, then sounding out (segmenting) and reading (blending) words which have the sounds in them.

Lots of children were really eager to apply their new knowledge and wrote some words independently with the sounds in.
