On Wednesday 12th October, 10 children from Year 5 accompanied Miss Garrard and Mrs de Board to an anti-bullying training conference in Kettering. These ambassadors had written letters to convince Mrs de Board that they were the right people for the role due to their desire to continue to ensure that Simon de Senlis is a happy, safe place for everyone. It was an intense training day where we learnt about the different types of bullying, the impact of bullying and how everyone has a role to play in stopping it happening. At the end of the day, we started to plan our campaign of action to raise awareness of a range of different issues. We had an amazing day and are brimming full of ideas to implement back in school. As ever, Miss Garrard and I were incredibly proud of the student’s behaviour, attitude and engagement. Well done anti-bullying ambassadors, we are looking forward to the great things you will achieve. More to follow in newsletters and blogs!
