Matilda Class- Back at forest school

After last week’s walk around East Hunsbury, it was fantastic to get back into the forest school area! The children had a fantastic time creating hedgehog artwork using leaves and talking about all the things hedgehogs love to eat like worms and cat food.

This week in maths we have been learning how to count in 10s and 5s all the way to 100. In English we have begun our journey story topic using the text, We’re going on a Bear hunt, as a basis. The children have been learning to tell the story through pictures and actions.

On Wednesday the children learnt about their senses in science. The class had an experiment to try to guess different items just by smelling them. There were some very amusing reactions when smelling the cups with vinegar and garlic in!

A great week all round, have a restful weekend and I will see you all on Monday!
