Exploring 2D shapes!

This week in Ennis Class, we explored 2D shapes in Maths. The children had a basket of 2D shapes that they explored in their tables and then quizzed their talk partners. The children had great fun learning the names of the 2D shapes and exploring their properties. We also discussed how to identify a regular or irregular 2D shape. After the children consolidated their learning by completing a 2D shape grid which included a picture of the shape, name and properties of the shape.
