Welcome back, Churchill class

Creating family ‘portraits’ of the Montagues and Capulets:

Rehearsing multiplication of fractions with a fun game:

It has been lovely to welcome the children in Churchill class back to school this week. We have thrown ourselves straight into deepening our knowledge of the story of Romeo and Juliet, our new whole-school Shakespeare unit of work in English. The children have enjoyed using drama to act out parts of the story and think about the relationships between key characters. They have also begun the first stages of their art work that will be used to illustrate their writing in a couple of weeks’  time. In maths, the children have shown great understanding of multiplying and dividing fractions and enjoyed a game to practise their skills in a fun way. Well done, everyone, for a great start back!
