A Ball in Paddington Class

As we continue to learn about Romeo and Juliet, our classroom was transformed into a ballroom today.  We had great fun dressing up in dresses or wearing ties as well as masks to be in disguise just like Romeo and Juliet did.  The children had lots of fun  learning  some dance steps similar to those that Romeo and Juliet would have used and practicing saying some Shakespearean phrases to each other.  There was lots of laughter in the classroom as we tried to perfect the dance steps as well as bowing and saying “Hail to you good ladies” or doing a curtsy and replying “Good morrow kind sirs”.
