NMPAT music lessons in Mozart class

Yesterday afternoon, the children in Year 4 were excited to receive their first visit from NMPAT, as for the next ten weeks they will be learning a strings instrument! Some of the children are learning the violin, and some are learning the cello.

First, they were taught how to hold their violin/cello. Then, they practised plucking different strings to find out which one created the lowest pitched sound. The rest of the lesson was based around creating different rhythms with the note D.

All of the children were very excited to begin learning a new instrument, and we are really looking forward to seeing the progress that the children make as they develop their musical skills!

Have a lovely weekend!
