Robinson Class
What a wonderful week we have had in Robinson class.
In English, we are learning about Romeo and Juliet. We have all enjoyed putting on our drama boots and acting out different scenes from the story to help us understand the thoughts and feelings of the characters.
In Maths, we have been learning how to apply our number facts into other calculations. The children have used their recall of number bonds to 10 to understand number bonds to 20 and beyond. Recently we have began considering if we know that 7+ 3 = 10 then 7 + 4 = 11 because four is one more than 3.
In Art, we have been making masks for a masquerade ball. The children carefully designed their masks on a planning document and then used their plan to create their final piece. Our next step is to add the glitter and sparkles which I am sure will be most of the children’s favourite part.
In Forest School we celebrated Chinese New Year. We learnt that if we write our dreams on a piece of paper and hang them on a tree they may come true. We had a go at writing our names in mud using Chinese symbols. It was a lot of fun.
