Churchill’s Fabulous Showcase!

What a fantastic morning! Churchill Class wowed everyone who came to our  showcase of their wonderful Romeo and Juliet work this morning. Their art work and writing inspired by scenes from William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, really is fabulous and the children were so proud to show it to everyone.

Analysing various scenes within the play enabled the children to understand the storyline and the key themes for their newspaper reports: Romeo’s banishment and Juliet’s Argument.  The children effectively applied a range of recount and non-fiction writerly tools to create fabulous newspaper reports which hook the reader, recount events in chronological order and share information from a non-biased perspective.
