Pancakes and Paper fun!

What a brilliant start to the new term we had in Wiggins Class today.

It was so lovely to see all the children and families this morning, and to hear about what they have spent their week off school doing.

We couldn’t ignore the fact that today is Shrove Tuesday either so enjoyed delicious pancakes for snack. Some children enjoyed them plain, others sprinkled on sugar and lemon. Needless to say, they didn’t last long!

This afternoon, we explored our shredded paper tray, filling and emptying containers to learn about capacity. After a while, we wondered who could scoop the most shredded paper with their hands and could we carry it without dropping any? The answer was easy, “no!” After one of the children said it looked like snow, we quickly progressed to a “snowball fight!” It was such good fun and all the children helped to clean up afterwards!
