Robinson class
We have been very busy bees in Robinson class this week.
In Maths, we have been learning about equal groups and unequal groups. We have used many different representations to show how many equal groups there are and how many objects are in each group. On Thursday, we collected lots of different natural resources and used stem sentences to organise our objects into equal groups and explain our findings.
In English, we are beginning our new story ‘The Curious Garden’ to begin the topic we went for a walk in the local park to spot signs of things that are growing, just like the plants in our story. We used cameras to photograph the things we found. We used our senses to explore the forest and describe our surroundings.
At the end of last term, the children made shields and helmets as part of our structure unit. The children had to think carefully about the design of their items before making them.
We loved visiting our local library on Wednesday. The children went on a world book day hunt around the library and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. We then spent time choosing books to take back to school and used our library cards to issue the books. We had so much fun.
