Ennis Class – Symmetry

In maths today, Ennis class learnt all about symmetry. After understanding the term ‘symmetrical’ and now knowing that this means when it is the same on both sides, the children used a mirror and baskets of 2D shapes to explore finding a line of symmetry. The children had a great time using their noticing skills and understanding what they saw when placing the mirror in the middle of the 2D shape. The children also recapped the terms vertical and horizontal and they used this knowledge through-out the lesson.
