Year 5 Architecture and Photography

Today, Year 5 visited The Northampton Guildhall and The Northampton Museum and Gallery where we looked carefully at the architecture and the found comparisons between the old, Victorian Gothic building and the modern new extension.

We were able to use view finders to carefully choose areas of the buildings such as: sculptures, windows, arches, lights, canopies and friezes which we photographed and also sketched. It was wonderful to carefully observe the buildings and see the work that architects and  designers do within the art sphere.
