Year 4 National Gallery Visits

Last Friday, Year 4 left school very early on their trip to The National Gallery in London. After weeks of learning about Rousseau’s ‘Surprise’ we were all thrilled and excited to see the amazing painting in real life. The colours were brighter, the brushstrokes were visible and the tiger’s eyes were more piercing than we could have ever imagined! We also studied paintings by Picasso, Van Gogh, Seurat and Rubens. It was a day we will always remember!
